We will not introduce a team we have not signed.
Most funds in formation publish a page of biographies and hope. We would rather publish the gap. Below is what genuinely does not exist yet, how we intend to decide, and how you can check whether we are doing it.
What does not exist yet.
Every item below is a real absence, not a soft launch. We publish it because a founder deciding whether to spend an hour with us deserves to know exactly what they are talking to.
- Closed capital Not yet
- Portfolio companies None
- Published team Unsigned
- Contracted platform partners None
- Proprietary benchmark data None
- Regulatory & legal clearance In progress
Three passes, in this order.
The order matters. A company that fails the technical pass never reaches the commercial one, which is how a constraint fund avoids talking itself into a good story.
-
Technical
Is the constraint real, is the advantage measurable, and does it survive on a system the founder did not select? We read the code, the evals and the failure cases before the deck.
-
Commercial
Who encounters this constraint often enough to pay for it now, and what does it cost them today? One demanding customer beats six shallow ones.
-
Company
Can this team hire across the physics–software boundary, and is there a capture path that does not depend on a single platform vendor's goodwill?
How to check whether we are actually doing this.
Commitments are worthless unless someone can point at one and say it was broken. These are checkable, and we would rather be held to them than admired for them.
- A published risk register, updated when we are proved wrong
- Aspirational figures labelled as aspirational, every time
- No portfolio company named before the round is signed
- Conflicts declared before a diligence conversation, not after
- A reply to every founder within 48 hours, including the noes
- The reason for a pass given in writing, and open to argument
Technical adviser, operator or co-investor?
The firm is deliberately small and deliberately incomplete. If you want to shape what it becomes, this is the useful moment.
